The Southern Ghawr Company for Sustainable Cultural Heritage and Tourism Development was established with the technical and financial support of the American Center for Research (ACOR) through the Sustainable Cultural Heritage Through Engagement of Local Communities Project (USAID SCHEP) in 2017, with the aim of highlighting the Southern Ghawr region to make it a tourist destination through marketing various services and activities and the promotion of experiences that reflect local cultural heritage, nature and history.
The company aims to raise the level of awareness among the local
community about the importance of cultural and natural heritage resources, and
to provide equal job opportunities for its men, women, and youth.
